Why are neurodiversity-affirming assessments important?
Neurodiversity-affirming assessments are important because they recognise and affirm the unique strengths and differences associated with people’s neurotypes. With a neurodiversity-affirming approach, assessments can provide a more accurate and holistic understanding of an individual's abilities and needs, that empowers them to thrive. Neurodiversity-affirming assessments give the opportunity for recommendations to be developed for individuals which respect and celebrate the diverse ways they experience and navigate the world.
